Viticulture: Biodynamic 

known as Morrastel in the Languedoc or Graciano in Rioja, where it is often blended with Tempranillo. The soil here is mainly granite and volcanic clay and sand. Marta practices biodynamic viticulture on a parcel of vines between 50-60 years. Ageing takes place for 8-10 months in french oak. It's full of dark, musky savoury herbs, wet rock minerality, a hint of cinnamon and hot spices, and little dark berries behind it. The fruit is tart, not at all jammy, and they follow through on the palate, which is high acid, medium bodied, and full of the same musky herbs. We feel the proximity to the ocean and feel transported to this semi-coastal area of Portugal.
